Blooming Lotus Childcare is a small family childcare program in Fontana, California. We balance child-directed exploration with teacher-guided learning, giving children room to make choices, discover new interests and develop independence.

Through books, early math, art, music, movement and outdoor exploration, children build skills and confidence at their own pace.

Meet K. Nelum Perera

Owner & Childcare Provider

My name is K. Nelum Perera, and I am the owner and operator of Blooming Lotus Childcare, formerly known as Perera Childcare, in Fontana, California. I have over 12 years of experience teaching in preschool, transitional kindergarten (TK), and Montessori settings. I’ve received positive feedback on my teaching approach, and I continue learning about current early childhood education practices.

I hold CPR and First Aid certifications and have completed Preventive Health and Safety and Mandated Reporter training.

As an educator and childcare provider, my goal is to nurture confident, independent, and caring children in a safe, loving environment while building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and kindergarten success.
